Understand your spend data
See where your money actually goes, sliced by category, supplier, or month, without building the report yourself.
What you get
- A spend cube that totals every dollar three ways — by category, by supplier, by month — over the trailing 12 months.
- Two ways to bring spend in: a live QuickBooks connection or a plain CSV, whichever fits how your books already work.
- The same category totals that feed the should-cost index and drive savings opportunities in the Savings Center.
Where your spend data comes from
Spend lines land in your workspace one of two ways:
- Connect QuickBooks. On Settings → ERP, connect QuickBooks Online to sync spend lines and incumbent unit costs directly from your accounting system — read-only, no write-back. This is a Pro-plan feature and above.
- Import a CSV. On Settings → Spend Data, upload a spend CSV directly. Download the sample CSV first if you want a template. This works on any plan and is the right choice if a connector isn't an option yet.
Both paths land in the same place: Settings → Spend Data shows your QuickBooks connection status (or its absence) alongside the CSV upload flow, and your total spend-line count, so you can see at a glance which source is populated.
Reading the spend cube
Open Spend to see the cube itself. Switch between Category, Supplier, and Month views with the tab at the top — each view re-slices the same trailing-12-month total, so the grand total never changes between tabs. Export the whole window to CSV from the same page when you need it outside the app.
How spend feeds the rest of Procurement Intelligence

There's nothing to configure twice — bring spend in once, and the category and supplier breakdowns are available everywhere else in the workspace.
