Get set up in four steps
A brand-new services workspace starts empty on purpose — no competitors, no offerings, no checks. These four steps take you from zero data to your first positioning recommendation.
What you get
- A live read on how your plans compare to the competitors you name, tier for tier.
- Entitlement and effective-price tracking, not just a headline number.
- A recommendation the moment something is worth reviewing, plus alerts if you'd rather not check manually.
1. Add the competitors you track
A check only compares you against competitors you name. Head to Settings → Competitor vendors and add each one — a competitor vendor is one Researcher sub-agent, run in parallel on every check. Add them one at a time, or use the bulk import if you have a list.
2. List the offerings you sell
Next, tell the agent which of your own plans or packages to track. Add offerings manually or bring in a bulk list via Settings → Plan catalog → Plan import, which includes a downloadable sample CSV so you can match the expected columns.
3. Run your first check
With at least one competitor vendor and one offering in place, go to Overview and select Run now. This kicks off a positioning check across your connected competitor vendors — checks consume research units against your plan's cap, so this is a deliberate action, not something that happens automatically until you set up a schedule.
4. See how you're positioned
Once the check finishes, results land in the Action Center as positioning recommendations — one per offering where something's worth reviewing. Each recommendation explains what changed (a competitor's price, tier, or entitlements) and why, and you decide whether to accept or dismiss it.

- Get alerts when prices move — stop checking manually for changes.
- Set positioning guardrails — keep every suggestion inside your rules before you run for real.
- Sample data vs your data — if you loaded the demo dataset, read this before you run for real.
