Watch competitor ad creative

See what a competitor is actually running — the headline, the offer, the platform — instead of guessing why their campaign is outperforming yours.

What you get

  • A gallery of every ad your watched competitors are currently running, refreshed on each run
  • Headline, body copy, and platform chips for each ad, so you can see the angle they're using
  • A source pill on every ad — the Meta Ad Library or the competitor's own site — so you know how verifiable the evidence is

Watching a competitor

  1. Go to Settings → Watched competitors.
  2. Add each competitor's name and domain.
  3. Save. Ads captured for that competitor start appearing in the gallery from the next run onward.

Watched competitors is a Pro plan feature — start with the competitors whose moves actually change your campaigns rather than adding every name you can think of, since each one counts against your plan's cap.

Reading the gallery

On the Competitors page, each watched competitor gets its own section, one card per ad: headline, body copy, the platforms it's running on, first-seen and last-seen dates, a landing-page link, and an evidence link back to the source. A long gap between first seen and last seen means that angle has stayed in rotation — usually a sign it's working for them.

Every card also carries an evidence-grade pill, next to the source pill — a quick read on how much to trust that capture before you act on it. It's driven by how recently the ad was captured and where it came from: a Meta Ad Library capture under 7 days old grades high, and a competitor-site scrape always grades a step lower than an equally fresh library capture, since it's an unverified read rather than the platform's own record. Lean on the high-grade cards first when you're deciding what to react to.

Alerts on new creative

When a watched competitor launches an ad your gallery hasn't captured before, MarginTide raises a competitor-new-creative alert on Alerts, so you don't have to keep the gallery open to catch a new angle the moment it appears.
