Get alerts before you overspend
Set up pacing and budget alerts so you hear about spend-at-risk before it becomes a problem, in-app or in Slack.
What you get
- Four alert kinds that watch pacing, delivery, and cost-per-acquisition without you checking manually.
- A spend-at-risk read that factors in market pricing, not just budget, once you've linked a companion workspace.
- Delivery on Alerts and, if you've connected it, in a Slack channel your team already watches.
Alert kinds explained
MarginTide evaluates every ad account and campaign after each sync against the guardrails you've set:
- Overspend pacing — projected month-end spend is on track to exceed the monthly budget by more than your pacing tolerance.
- Underspend pacing — projected spend is running under budget by more than your pacing tolerance, checked after the first few days of the month so a slow start doesn't fire immediately.
- Zero delivery — an enabled campaign spent nothing on its latest synced day.
- CPA spike — trailing 7-day cost-per-acquisition has risen past your target by more than your pacing tolerance, with at least one conversion in that window.
Each kind fires at most once per account or campaign per month, so you won't see the same issue repeated on every sync.
Spend-at-risk
Where you've linked a companion price-tracking workspace on the same account, the Overview page also shows a spend-at-risk card: today's spend on campaigns tied to an item currently priced above the best competitor, with a recommended budget shift alongside it. See See spend against price position for how the link works.
Setting alert delivery
Alert thresholds come from your spend guardrails under Settings → Spend guardrails. Delivery channels — in-app, email digest, or Slack — live under Settings → Notifications; see Send alerts to Slack to connect a channel.
