Services Pricing
Set up competitors to watch
Know within a check when a competitor repackages a plan or moves a price — but only for the vendors you tell Services Pricing to track.
What you get
- Every check compares your offerings against the competitor vendors you add here, automatically.
- Recommendations in the Action Center name the vendor that triggered them.
- Alerts fire the moment one of these vendors moves a price or an entitlement.
Adding a competitor vendor
- Go to Settings → Competitor vendors.
- Add each competitor you want checks to compare against — a name and a pricing-page URL per vendor.
- Save. The vendor is included starting with the next check, scheduled or manual.
Start with the handful of competitors that actually shape your positioning decisions rather than adding every vendor you can think of; each one counts against your plan's competitor cap.
Tips
- Too few competitors and you miss repositioning moves; too many and you burn through your cap on vendors that rarely matter.
- Settings → Billing shows current competitor usage against your plan tier — check it before a bulk add.
- Competitors you remove stop being checked but past observations and alerts stay in Reports & history, so removing one doesn't erase what it already told you.
- If a vendor's pricing page layout changes and a check starts missing entitlements or prices, edit the vendor's URL rather than deleting and re-adding it — that keeps its history attached to the same vendor record.
How to read a competitor's history
Each competitor vendor keeps its own chronological timeline of price and entitlement changes, visible from its detail page under Competitors. A gap in that timeline usually means a check skipped the vendor (a temporarily unreachable page, for example) rather than a real change — the Alerts feed only fires on a confirmed move, not a missed read.
Go further
- Import what you sell — the other half of what a check compares.
- Run a check & read a recommendation — how competitor vendors factor into a check.
- Set positioning guardrails — the rules a competitor's price feeds into.
- Billing & credits basics — how plan caps work.
