Get alerts when prices move

Set up alerts so you hear about a should-cost index drift or a renewal deadline the moment it matters, in-app or in Slack.

What you get

  • Alerts for a should-cost index drift or an upcoming renewal, not just what you run yourself
  • Alerts that reach you in Slack, not just a page you have to remember to open
  • Renewal lead times you control, so a reminder arrives with enough runway to act

Where alerts show up

Every alert appears on the Alerts page with a severity level, so you can tell an urgent change from a routine one at a glance. Procurement alerts come in two shapes: an index-drift alert when your incumbent's cost moves out of line with a linked should-cost index, and a renewal-due alert raised automatically at the lead times you configure — no run required for a renewal alert to fire.

Sending alerts to Slack

If your team lives in Slack, you don't have to keep the Alerts page open. Connect your workspace under Settings → Integrations and enable the Slack connection to have alerts posted to a channel as they happen.

Tuning renewal lead times

Under Settings → Buying guardrails, set one or more renewal lead times in days — add more than one to get an early heads-up followed by a closer reminder as the renewal date approaches.

How to read it

Index-drift alerts follow from your checks, so the more consistently you run them — on demand or on a schedule — the more current they stay. Renewal-due alerts don't depend on a run at all: they fire from the renewal dates on file in your Purchase Catalog, so keep those dates current to get a useful warning.
